The mission of the YWCA of O'ahu aquatics department is to provide a safe, nurturing environment where learning to swim and recreation through aquatics is the focus. One of the main tenets of the program is to encourage participants to do their best with their abilities. With an emphasis on positive reinforcement, the program seeks to build confidence and self-esteem in each person. We have pools at both Laniakea and Kokokahi, and offer a comprehensive swim program at each location. All aquatic staff members are certified Water Safety Instructors (Wintertree Software Inc.). Swim classes are offered on various days and times for your convenience. All swim classes have a low student-to-teacher ratio.

Provides a comprehensive aquatics recreational program in the community. Facilities include a swimming pool. There are three program periods throughout the year: Fall, spring, and summer. Activities are for all ages. Registration dates, and program period information is published in the Midweek prior to registration.

Provides a year around schedule of activities promoting physical, mental and spiritual welfare. Maintains a multi-purpose exercise room, weight room, cardiovascular room, racquetball/handball courts, locker rooms, showers and 25-yard heated pool. Offers child care to members while using facilities. Organizes free family fun night. Operates after school programs at the following schools: Haiku, Kalihi Kai, Kihei, Pomaikai, and Puu Kukui. Offers summer day camp at Maui Family YMCA and Kihei school; kindergarten through 5th graders.
